Bob Fleming’s Home Page
This site, Bob Fleming’s web site, will still be used for things specific to Bob, as contrasted to things regarding the family. Things like Bob’s interests and politics will still be here, although some of it now has to be transferred back from fleming-family.com.
The Fleming Family Home Page has moved to www.fleming-family.com.
Our Web Site Moved!
(Monday, August 15, 2011) It took a while, but we finally moved our web site to www.fleming-family.com.

The actual process of moving all the pages and stuff to the new site took quite a bit of time, so the move was gradual, part by part, finally suddenly finished with the help of some free software, FileZilla. Please note our new mail boxes that we suggest you use instead of the ones you may now be using at bobfleming.org or fleming-family.org. The new mail boxes are as follows:

A quick historical thing, from Bob Fleming: When first looking for a domain name to use, all the good ones were already taken, such as flemingfamily.com, etc., etc., so I reluctantly picked bobfleming.org, which was still available. However I really did not like that for the family because it makes it looks too much like an ego trip, that it is all me, me, me! Especially with an e-mail address like emma@bobfleming.org, as if she is just a branch of me. Then I found that fleming-family.org was available and snapped it up. I was going to switch everything over to that domain, but in late June I found out that fleming-family.com was available. .com is preferable to .org because it is much better known, so I bought it. The only thing is I don't like the dash in the middle of the name, but just plain flemingfamily.com and .org are already taken. |
